Features and operating principle
Prefabricated concrete oil separators for rainwater, equipped with a coalescence filter and an automatic shut-off device, have the specific function of naturally separating, without the use of chemical additives, the sands, mineral oils, and hydrocarbons present in incoming stormwater runoff, corresponding to the first flush of rain or floor washing water.
The collection of rainwater from courtyards can be done mainly in two ways: punctual collection, linear collection.
In plants with oil separators, the wastewater remains in the main compartment where the floating substances (oils, hydrocarbons, etc.) occur. Since they have a lower density than water, they collect in the superficial layers of the liquid, forming a layer of oil with a thickness that increases based on the concentration of these substances at the inlet.
Reference regulations
The Decree Law 152/99 and following amendments/integrations sets out an acceptable oil/hydrocarbons wastewater concentration lower than 10 mg/l for each drain into the sewerage system and lower thank 10 mg/l for each drain into surface water.
Starting from July 1st, 2013, the EU 305/2011 regulation is binding and provides for harmonized conditions for the sale of construction products, thus replacing the old European Directive 89/106 (CPD). Construction products falling within the scope of a harmonized standard and/or compliant with a European technical assessment, as per the Construction Products Regulation 305/2011/UE, must be equipped with a Declaration of Performance (DoP) (replacing the Declaration of Conformity) and CE marking.
EDILIMPIANTI 2 srl manufactures its systems for light liquid separation in compliance with the UNI EN 858 standard, specifically indicating "planning, performance and product test, CE marking and control" criteria, utmost care for its quality level which made it possible for Edil Impianti 2 srl to obtain the independent third body certification as stated in Appendix D chapter D.2.1 of the UNI EN 858 standard.
Thus, we can guarantee:
1. Manufacturer's license validity check;
2. Initial Type Testing (ITT) check;
3. Control outcome conformity check made according to the UNI EN 858 standard.
Supply specifications
Supply and installation of an in-ground Static Oil/Light Liquid Separator produced as a DECLARED SERIES, with CE marking compliant with the requirements of the UNI EN 858-1 standard under Regulation No. 305/2011 Class I Separators - Certified by a Third Party with a declaration of performance (DoP), with external dimensions of cm.____x____xh____, flow rate NS ___ l/sec, with Refill Coalescence filter code DISCE____-FC or with Lamellar Modules/Packs code DISCE____-PL, manufactured by EDIL IMPIANTI 2 S.r.l. with a UNI EN ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 management system, made of a monolithic Vibrated Reinforced Concrete block, reinforced with vertical pillars and horizontal stainless steel braces, with Elastocolor protective anti-cracking elastomeric paint on the external concrete walls for high permanent elasticity and high chemical resistance, concrete in a C45/55 compression strength class (RCK >55 N/mm²), internal reinforcements in factory-controlled enhanced-adherence steel and B450C-type square mesh electro-welded wire mesh, complete with CHEMICAL RESISTANCE and REACTION TO FIRE (class: A1) certifications issued by an external body according to UNI EN standards.
The CE-marked Static Oil/Light Liquid Separator is supplied complete with:
- inlet/outlet holes;
- inlet connection fitting with elastomeric rubber gasket and a corresponding AISI 304 stainless steel calming baffle;
- sedimentation/oil flotation and oil separation compartment;
- r.c. dividing wall/s;
- Refill Coalescence filter if DISCE____-FC or Lamellar Modules/Packs if DISCE____-PL;
- automatic shut-off device of the float stopper type made entirely of AISI 304 stainless steel.
Treatment Guarantee:
Legislative Decree 152/06 Part three, Annex 5, Table 3 "Discharge into Surface Waters," provided that the qualitative and dimensional values of the inflow to the treatment itself are respected and guaranteed, limited to the parameters of total suspended solids and total hydrocarbons.
